Book Review - The Big Book of Lesbian Horse Stories

I know what you are thinking but let me assure this is a fun read. Not only is it entertaining but it is very educational at least if you are interested in lesbian history. Some of the stories are over the top and campy but that is what makes this book so much fun. The characters are quite interesting to and I find my self wondering if these stories are auto biographical and/or if these two clever authors are themselves lesbians.

In short this book is well worth the ride especially if you are into sapphic horse stories and the like. Although what emerges in the end is a relentless political diatribe and if you tire of constant finger pointing between socialists and conservatives, then this book is not for you. However, if you like a little lesbian sex mixed in with your politics then you will find this book as fulfilling and delightful as I did.

My compliments to the authors and publishers of this timeless piece of Americana.

Book Review - Horton Hires a Ho

By Dr. Seuss

Until recently, I had never heard of this book by Theodor Seuss Geisel known to most of us as Dr. Seuss. Published shortly after his death on September 24, 1991, Horton Hires a Ho takes the unsuspecting reader through a twisted maze of carnal oddities, sexual brutality and wretchedness while being profoundly funny and uplifting.

In this retelling of the classic children’s story, our hero Horton (who is hung like an elephant) is a horny prepubescent juvenile delinquent who repeatedly steals money from his grandmother in order to pay an anything goes prostitute to perform perverse sexual acts on him and his friends. This book contains very offensive language, and extremely graphic illustrations.

If you are a fan of sexual violence, drug use, hardcore masturbation, coprophelia, necrophilia and gruesome tortuous rape and beastiality, you will find Horton Hires a Ho a fascinating read. This story very cleverly draws the reader into Dr. Seuss’ world of sadistic and seedy sexual practices with a host of unseemly characters including; Vlad Vladikoff a homeless vagrant with an addiction to self mutilation and public masturbation, the Wickersham Brothers identical homosexual twins with a propensity for playing with one another’s fecal matter, and the Sour Kangaroo, a crack snorting sex addict who enjoys torturing helpless animals.

All in all I found this book to be fun diversion. Though shocking and often titillating, it was a fast and easy read suitable for just about any age. In addition to Horton Hires a Ho, there are several other Dr. Seuss books that were published posthumously including such titles as: Who Shat in the Hat?, How the Grinch Stole Columbus Day, Green Eggs and Government Cheese, Your Colon Can Moo-Can You?, Aunts in My Pants, Hop on Pop and 101 Other Incestuous Games, and, One Toe, Two Toe, Black Toe, Blue Toe just to name a few. I look forward to reading these books in the near future.
